In 8 weekly online meetings, participants will tear down the walls of 12-tone equal temperament and develop techniques for exploring new harmonic architecture.

Topics include the harmonic series, the 3-limit strings of Pythagoras, the 31-tone polyphony of Nicola Vicentino, the 43-tone chromelodeons of Harry Partch, the sublime consonance of Hindustani raags, the well-tuned piano of La Monte Young, infinite divisions of the octave and the farthest reaches of n-dimensional pitch space.
